Job Description:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented eCommerce CRO Strategist to manage and execute conversion rate and strategic optimization initiatives for eCommerce brands on Shopify and BigCommerce. This role is ideal for someone who understands user behavior, can identify friction within the customer journey, and knows how to turn data into actionable testing opportunities. Our approach is analytics-first and revenue-focused, with an emphasis on understanding why customers convert or abandon their journey. The eCommerce strategist will collaborate with design, development, and marketing teams to help deliver measurable improvements in conversion rate, average order value, and revenue.

Location: Remote
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in CRO, eCommerce, digital marketing analytics, or a related field
- Experience working with Shopify, BigCommerce, or headless eCommerce environments
- Strong familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- Knowledge of conversion funnels and user behavior analysis
- Understanding of key eCommerce metrics, including:
- Conversion rate (CVR)
- Average order value (AOV)
- Bounce and engagement metrics
- Revenue impact
- Understanding of eCommerce UX best practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
- Ability to communicate findings in a client-friendly format
- Critical-thinking skills and curiosity about why users convert or drop off
- Familiarity with Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, Lucky Orange, or Elevar
- Experience writing CRO test hypotheses
- Basic understanding of A/B testing frameworks
- Exposure to subscription models, upselling, or cross-selling strategies
Responsibilities:
- Assist with CRO audits across Shopify, BigCommerce, and headless eCommerce websites
- Analyze customer journeys to identify conversion bottlenecks and friction points
- Collect, organize, and interpret data from GA4, heatmaps, and other analytics tools
- Support the development and maintenance of CRO backlogs prioritized by potential impact and level of effort
- Turn research and analysis into actionable recommendations and test plans
- Document findings and recommendations in a clear, client-friendly format
- Track and report on:
- Test performance
- Conversion rate changes
- Average order value
- Revenue impact
- Assist with weekly and monthly performance reports and presentation decks
- Collaborate with design, development, and marketing teams to support the execution of CRO initiatives
- Quality-assure implemented CRO changes and flag inconsistencies, errors, or other issues
- Provide the Director of Strategy with regular updates on progress, findings, and blockers
- Contribute to monthly testing roadmaps based on audit findings, available data, and business priorities
