DigitlHaus Agency is looking for an experienced UX Strategy Director that can manage the creative and UX strategy for eCommerce web design projects. BigCommerce and Shopify experience is required.


  • Must have worked for an agency on eCommerce design projects
  • Must have experience in eCommerce design
  • Must have experience in eCommerce conversion strategy and understand modern practices
  • Must have experience understanding eCommerce functionality and capabilities
  • Must have a good understanding of BigCommerce and Shopify technical capabilities
  • Must have strong skills in UX Identity, layout and best practices
  • Must be able to speak to Clients professionally and comfortably on video and phone
  • Must have strong leadership skills and be able to manage Clients and designers
  • Must be very task and timeline oriented
  • Must be experienced in persuasion
  • Have fun and ensure Clients and your team are having fun

Job Responsibilities

  • Holding creative strategy sessions and design kick off calls with Clients to speak about their project vision, goals and strategy direction for their project
  • Defining the UX strategy and design direction for the project by doing competitive research, reviewing analytics, following best practices, using industry standards and utilizing the notes and expertise from the strategy session
  • Creating for the design team a strategic brief based on the UX strategy that highlights in detail layout direction for each page of the site that is to be designed
  • Internally reviewing and approving designs from the design team before submitting to the creative director for final creative approval
  • Ensuring UX strategy and designs are following the SOW at all times
  • Answering and managing Client questions per the designs that relates to functionality, SOW, or general design or strategy questions
  • Managing the revision process in Invision between the project manager, designer and the Client, answering questions, making recommendations, and ensuring the designer knows what revisions to make for each revision phase
  • Presenting designs and wireframes to the Client, walking them through the approach, the decisions made and the UX
  • Preparing and creating content gathering documents that support the wireframes so Clients have a good understanding on what types of assets they are required to provide
  • Completing UX audits, reviewing heat mapping and preparing reports
  • Assist the sales team with opportunities from a strategy perspective
  • Assist other team members and projects where strategy is involved
  • Work closely with the creative director to evolve and expand agency UX direction, UX strategy, offerings and overall process
